We are all dying – we just don’t know when. If you were to die tomorrow, would you finish well? If we haven’t been living well for the Lord up to the point of dying, we can’t finish well.
Is the world crucified to you, or is it the source of your entertainment and joy (of course nothing you would consider sinful)? “But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world” (1 Galatians 6:14-15).
Are you seeking and sharing with the lost? “Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God” (2 Corinthians 5:20 ).
Are you living to please the One Who died for you? “Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him” (2 Corinthians 5:9). “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him” (2 Corinthians 5:21).
